Slight Chance of Wintry Mix

There is a slight chance of a wintry mix for area's west of interstate 65 Tuesday morning. As our next system begins to enter our area, the warm air will over ride the colder air at the surface. This could create a few hours of freezing rain and or sleet for our western counties just in time for rush hour Tuesday. I do not believe at this time though that this will amount to much. It does bear watching however. Temperatures will then warm well into the 40's on Tuesday afternoon and will continue to climb from there. I did think though with such cold surface temperatures the 48 hours leading up to this event that it is important to let you know of this slight chance. It would not take much rain or drizzle to freeze on the very cold surfaces we have. Lets just hope the precipitation holds off until Tuesday afternoon. Have a great day. God Bless
