Winter Storm Update
Things are really going to go down to the wire on this one. Depending exactly how close you are to the Upper Level Low, your chances could go up or down for an accumulating snow. Rain, heavy at times should push back north to scrape some of our southern and eastern counties tomorrow. That later in the day on Thursday into Thursday night could mix with and change to snowfall across those area's down interstate 65, interstate 40, and interestate 24 especially. This system has been a hard one to forecast and will continue to be until its gone. This forecast is at best, low confidence. This storm could easily change the axis of heavy wet snow further south, further north, or not produce snow at all. I advise anyone in Middle Tennessee to be weary of the weather over the next 36 hours as this winter storm system approaches. If you must travel tomorrow in the eastern 2/3 of Middle Tennessee, I advise you to travel in the morning. This system could easily fool all of us and hence your safety could be at risk. Here is a second call map. Again, no accumulations on this map at this time due to the enormous uncertainty of this system.
