Volunteer Weather Forecast Discussion
Middle Tennessee Basin Area
January 28, 2009 11pm

Things are finally calming down after this past little system that brought snow to the central and northern portions of Middle Tennessee. A couple days of well deserved rest before mother nature decides to tease the basin area with another wintry weather threat. A clipper thursday night into friday morning could bring a few flurries or snow showers to the eastern half of the area, though not expecting any accumulations at this time. The weekend then looks dry with mild conditions expected on sunday before rain moves in late sunday. Monday brings back a wintry mix, and possible changeover to an accumulating snowfall sometime Monday afternoon or evening. This system bears much watching the next several days as models are quite confident that a significant winter storm will occur somewhere in the deep south early next week. Along with the threat of a winter storm, much colder temperatures will move back into the area for most of next week.
