As of right now, Oct. 15, the weather signals that are pointing towards a cold winter are becoming more and more positive. I also believe that winter will get going quite early for most of the lower 48. We all know Winter is already ongoing in Alaska. This year has been one of the most severe starts in that state. Ice and snow cover in the northern hemisphere is up drastically over the past several years. These signals as well as other, including good ole folklore, point to a very cold and quite possibly snowy winter. Below are the projected totals for some Tennessee Areas.
Crossville, Tenessee: Average Snowfall 7.7" Projected Snowfall 10"-15"
Dickson, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 5.4" Projected Snowfall 7"-11"
Lewisburg, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 3.2" Projected Snowfall 5"-9"
Monterey, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 20.5" Projected Snowfall 22"-26"
Nashville, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 8.3" Projected Snowfall 10"-14"
Pulaski, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 2.8" Projected Snowfall 5"-9"
Tullahoma, Tennessee: Average Snowfall 3.9" Projected Snowfall 6"-10"
