Cold Night
Tonight will be quite chilly if you are to be out and about. Lows tonight will drop into the mid 20's. Things will warm up tomorrow to the upper 40's and low 50's. This should help to melt any remaining patches of snow and ice that are out there this evening. The shaded back roads for one are quick tricky still this evening as I was headed home. Between the warmer temperatures and dry conditions, those spots should be gone later tomorrow. This weekend looks to be rather quiet, but next weeks turns quite wild again. At this time though, it looks like most of Middle Tennessee should be too warm for anything but rain. However, rain will be possible off and on throughout the week and could agitate flooding issues once again. We will have to monitor it and make sure we do not receive more rainfall than we can handle. I must also mention that next week, just to our northwest in parts of West Tennessee, West Kentucky, and the Missouri Bootheel, a rather wintry and possibly icy scenario looks to be taking form. I will continue update on this event as it is going to be close enough that a slight shift in the track of the cold front could result in some of Middle Tennessee being included in this wintry mess.
