Saturday Discussion

Middle Tennessee Basin Area
Regional Forecast Discussion
January 24, 2009 6:00pm

Weather will be quiet tonight with partly cloudy conditions and temperatures dropping back into the 20's. For Sunday, clouds will move in late ahead of the next weather maker for middle tennessee. Rain showers will break out early Tuesday morning with a overrunning event. A significant ice storm can be expected further to the north across parts of west Kentucky. At this time, confidence is too low to include any wintry precipitation in the forecast. Will keep all moisture as rain currently. We are still a little ways out from this event. Also NWS in memphis is now mentioning a possible watch for wintry weather which could be issued tomorrow sometime. Some icy weather may slip into our nw corner but at this time, will leave out of forecast. Things then warm up Wednesday through the rest of the week and keep everything as just rain showers. No major warm ups or cool downs in the near future.
